My photo
Being a modeller for quite a few years now, I decided to explore the endless possibilities that the world (through internet) offers, and come up with a series of ways of building, modelling and painting fast (but not hastily), to create the worlds I was seeing in history books since I was little. . .If you care to join me. . . This is the place to be! And, I promise you to find the way (or ways)!!

A house in Normandy. . . what else!?!

Good day and good week to everyone!

These are some photos of the house I made last weekend.
I experimented my self a bit, with this one (pillars on the gate, chimneys etc.).

At the moment I am making a big house with a field on its yard. When it is ready I'll post the photos of this house too.

Hope you like it (it is only one more addition to the rest of the houses I already made, with no major differentiations, but I hope it suits the business)!

German Infantry

Good day to everyone!

Today I decided to show you some German Infantry soldiers I painted last Tuesday. They are a mix of Caesar and Revell miniatures.
Basically, they were very easy to paint, and by following my method of painting, I got them ready in one hour (I exclude the time needed for the primer to stand on the figure in the beginning, and the painting of the base in the end)!

Hope you like em!

A great site from some fellow Spaniards!

Good morning everyone!

As you already may have noticed, searching the web for ideas, is mandatory for my ongoing projects!
One of the sites that I often visit (which is in my blog list), is the http://wargamestenerife.blogspot.com/ , where some fellow Spaniards (the name of the blogger is Alex- I hope the IRS won't chase him), are doing some great work on modelling and wargaming!

This blog is a major influence for me and my projects (thx Alex)!

You should ''pay him a visit''! Anyone who values good works, will definately like this blog!

Hedgerows!!!

Good day to everyone!

I noticed today, that I haven't shown any pictures of the most famous aspect of Normandy fields; Hedgerows!!!

I uploaded some photos of my hedgerows, which are made out of plaster (basis) and Woodland Scenics (or Noch if you prefer) Cluster Foliage. Their construction is very simple, and the final result is some really robust models for a wargames table. On the following posts I'll try to post my tutorial on how to make them.

I was inspired by this fellow's blog http://thisveryblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/hedgerows-simple-fast-and-nearly.html, who had this great idea, and me as a cheeky bastard made my own version of them and posted them in my blog in order to get the credit! :-)

Hope you like them!

My way of just say Thank You. . .

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I posted for the first time in this blog (November 2009), and after some months I realised that even though I live in a small country (Greece), and had no experience in this thing, most of the people who visited this blog are coming from all places in the world!

To be honest, when I installed the flag counter gadget, and saw the places where my blog reached, I felt very very very proud (p.s I am not bragging and I haven't became a father yet)!!

The only way I could think of saying thank you to you all for you support, was by this little post.

Your help and feedback, made me realize that I should pay more attention to this blog, in order to keep track with you and our hobby.

Feeling the need to interact more with you, I would like to ask from you to answer a couple of questions, so as to make this blog a better place for us all.

So, here come the questions:

1. In 1-2 sentences, why do you visit Miniatures & Terrain Blog?

2. What is the thing I can help you people with?
Would you like me to add, or delete something from the blog, include some new articles? Please feel free to say whatever comes to your mind. It is our hobby after all ! ! !

I strongly believe that this place can be a spot for many people who like our hobby!

Thank you all again!

A great website!

Hi everyone,

While googling the net, I discovered this site http://henk.fox3000.com/index2.htm , which is some sort of a catalog for military models in 1/72 & 1.76 scales.

It includes information, description and photos of plastic, resin and diecast models and many many other bits and pieces for military modelling.

A must see site!

My dream village in Normandy!!

Good day to everyone!

While searching for inspiration in the net, for my Big Project, I found this terrific photo of a
village somewhere in Normandy back in 1944 (I must excuse myself to its residents, at least the
ones still alive, that I am not aware of its name)!!!

I will use it as a guide, and. . . try to make a representation of it in 1/72 scale, though it seems
rather daunting as a task!

Normandy's latest addition

Good day to everyone!

This is my latest addition to my Normandy Project. I tried to experiment my self a bit more this time, and I created something with a big window (as in a shop). I haven't written anything above it, because I still haven't decided what to write. Will search the web and find sth!

Hope you like it!
